Application Coordinators have primary responsibility for system build, testing, validation, and ongoing support of assigned applications. Some employers will require more technical/build experience than others. In this role, you are a subject matter expert with deep knowledge of one or more Epic applications, and you work collaboratively to ensure team goals are met during implementations, Go-Lives and any subsequent upgrades or application changes. Coordinators may report to an Application Manager but may also manage other Application Analysts.
Epic Project Manager Salary - $,
Epic PMs play a vital role to ensure project deliverables are met within a target timeline and budget. In addition to Epic-specific application knowledge, you are an expert in the principles of project management and may have a PMP certificate or equivalent experience in a healthcare IT setting. PMs develop a project charter, scope, schedule and major milestones for all project-related activities, and use their strong communication skills to keep stakeholders informed and on track.
Epic Analyst Salary - $97,
Requirements for Epic Analysts can vary by employer. Some analyst roles require deep technical/build background, while others are suited to individuals with more generalized application knowledge or even clinical experience. Newly certified, less experienced analysts are at the lower end of the salary scale. More experienced builders with multiple Epic implementations can earn big dollars as Senior Analysts.

Epic Report Writer Salary - $87,
Report Writers drive analysis, planning, design, creation, testing and maintenance of reports from Epic applications. In addition to Epic application knowledge, your background will typically include familiarity with data modeling concepts and commonly used databases and report writing tools, such as SQL, BusinessObjects and Crystal Reports. Skilled Epic Report Writers often have specific training (and certification) in Epic’s Reporting Workbench and its Clarity relational database.
Epic Trainer Salary - $85,
As an Epic Trainer, you are a critical link between the implementation team and Epic end users. Based on your knowledge of Epic applications, you may work in a classroom or side-by-side with users to familiarize them with the practical, day-to-day functionality of the software. Your pay is based on your Epic experience (and whether you are Epic credentialed and/or certified) as well as your educational background and knowledge of instructional design.
The Application Coordinator/Project Manager-EPIC Certified oversees all aspects of projects. Responsible for the coordination and completion of projects involving the planning, design, and implementation of EHR (electronic health record) software applications. Being an Application Coordinator/Project Manager-EPIC Certified builds and maintains working relationships with team members, vendors, and other departments involved in the projects. Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of project. In addition, Application Coordinator/Project Manager-EPIC Certified prepares project status reports. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Requires Epic, Cerner, or similar product certification.Typically reports to Manager or Head of a Unit/Department. Being an Application Coordinator/Project Manager-EPIC Certified work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project.
